We have always had a particular sensitivity for animal welfare, ensuring traceability and transparency in the supply chain. Since 2010, Molina has taken an interest in this issue, developing a supply chain control system.
The key point of the certifications recognized by Molina is the use of independent external auditors, who conduct checks and regularly inspect all entities in the supply chain, ensuring complete traceability of goods throughout the supply chain, starting from the farms where the animals are raised.
Practices such as live plucking and forced feeding are categorically excluded, but beyond this, other fundamental parameters are also kept under control such as water and food supply, available space, and cleanliness of the facility.
Through the evaluation of all aspects related to animal welfare at every point in the supply chain, Molina hopes to improve their living conditions while providing retailers and consumers with greater confidence in the ethical and responsible sourcing of a precious product of nature, such as down.
